16 ตุลาคม 2564 ครบรอบ 1 ปี ก่อตั้ง THAI EUDEM เรามีความในใจบางอย่างที่อยากจะบอกกับทุก ๆ คน (ENG below)
16 October 2021 – Anniversary of the founding of THAI EUDEM. We’ve got something special to tell all of you.
เราคือกลุ่มคนไทยในต่างประเทศที่รู้สึกโกรธกับเหตุการณ์สลายการชุมนุมในวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม 2563
เรารวมกลุ่มเพื่ออยากจะแสดงออกถึงความไม่เห็นด้วยกับการใช้ความรุนแรงดังกล่าว
เราประกาศแถลงการณ์ฉบับแรกในวันต่อมา และก็ได้มีการชักชวนเพื่อน พี่น้อง คนไทย ผู้ร่วมอุดมการณ์ในต่างแดน มาร่วมทำงานกับ THAI EUDEM มากขึ้น มีการติดต่อเข้ามาขอเข้าร่วม หรือติดต่อเข้ามาสนับสนุนการทำงานของพวกเรามากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ
เราเองส่วนใหญ่เป็นมือใหม่หัด Activist การทำงานของพวกเรามีปัญหา มีอุปสรรคใหม่ ๆ ที่ท้าทายเข้ามาอยู่เสมอ
เราขอขอบคุณเพื่อนสมาชิก THAI EUDEM ทุกท่าน ที่ร่วมทุกข์ร่วมสุขกันมาโดยตลอดระยะเวลา 1 ปี
เราขอขอบคุณเพื่อนสมาชิก 15 ประเทศ และมิตรสหายเพื่อนบ้านจากทวีปอเมริกา ออสเตรเลีย และเอเชีย ที่ร่วมเดินทาง ร่วมทำกิจกรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมประชาธิปไตยไปด้วยกัน
เราขอขอบคุณสหภาพยุโรป พรรคกรีน และ Olle Thorell สมาชิกรัฐสภาของสวีเดนจากพรรค Social Democrats ที่ตอบจดหมาย รับฟังปัญหาและข้อเรียกร้องของพวกเรา
เราขอขอบคุณสำนักข่าวต่าง ๆ ที่ให้พื้นที่สื่อกับพวกเรา ขอบคุณ BBCTHAI VOICE TV มติชน เดลินิวส์ ประชาไท ฯลฯ
และที่สำคัญที่สุด เราขอขอบคุณแฟนเพจ ผู้สนับสนุน THAI EUDEM ทุก ๆ ท่าน ที่ส่งเสริม ผลักดันให้พวกเราเจริญเติบโตมาจนถึงตรงนี้
อนาคตวันข้างหน้าจะเป็นยังไง จะสดใส สว่างไสว หรือยังคงมืดมนเหมือนในอดีต เราไม่มีทางตอบได้… แต่ที่เราทำได้ คือ ช่วยกันทำทุก ๆ อย่าง เท่าที่พลังกาย พลังใจของพวกเราพอจะทำได้ เพื่อให้ประเทศไทย และประชาชนชาวไทย มีประชาธิปไตย เหมือนในอารยประเทศ
สู้ไปด้วยกัน ! ประชาชนต้องชนะ !

16 October 2021 – Anniversary of the founding of THAI EUDEM. We’ve got something special to tell all of you.
We are a group of Thai people living overseas who were horrified at the brutal action of the police against the demonstrations of 16 October 2020.
Sparked by our anger, we came together to express our disagreement with such violent acts.
The following day, we put out our first announcement. And later on we’ve gotten friends, acquaintances, fellow Thais who share our ideals to join our work in THAI EUDEM. Over the past year, we’ve had more asking to join and more otherwise supporting our work.
We’re mostly fledgling activists, so every day is fraught with challenges, problems, and obstacles.
We’d like to thank our fellow THAI EUDEM friends who have shared our trials and tribulations over the past year.
We’d like to thank our members from 15 countries and our colleagues from the Americas, Australia, and Asia that have travelled far to join our activities to promote Thai democracy.
We would like to express our immense gratitude to the European Union, Green party, and Olle Thorell, Swedish Member of Parliament for the Social Democrats for responding to our letters and addressing our issues and demands.
We are grateful for news outlets that have given us a platform. We’re giving special thanks to BBC Thailand, Voice TV, Matichon, Daily News, and Prachatai.
And most importantly, we’d like to thank our fans and supporters of THAI EUDEM — you have all helped us grow to where we are today.
We can’t give an answer as to what the future lies — will it bring joy and hope, or will it still be as hopeless as the past?… But what we can do is to do as much as our bodies and minds could afford us to bring the Thais the free democracy they truly deserve.
Let’s continue our fight! The people must win!
